For over thirty years, Lionel Guichard has directed projects at the crossroads of scientific engineering, artistic creation and heritage.
By combining mastery of complex imaging technologies and operational management, he translates cultural visions into field realities. His career has led him to pilot the visual engineering of major heritage projects and to support institutions in their digital transition.
He now acts as mission director and expert in Project Management Assistance (A.M.O.), ensuring the interface between scientific requirements, budgetary constraints and artistic direction. These missions rely on the operational ecosystem of Studio Guichard, the structure he founded and directs.

Lascaux IV — International Center for Parietal Art
- Mission: Direction of color acquisitions and co-integration into the 3D reference model.
- Scope: Hundreds of hours of in-situ acquisition in the original cave (permanently sealed and closed to the public). Direction and supervision of the engineering team for 3D colorization.
- Impact: Creation of the digital twin used as a basis for site conservation, scientific study and cultural interpretation.
Chauvet Cave 2 — Restitution of the original cave
- Mission: HD photographic campaigns, photogrammetric campaigns & acquisition and processing of chromatic data.
- Scope: Exceptional authorization to work within the original cave. Deployment of acquisition protocols under extreme constraints to provide the visual raw material essential for wall modeling.
- Impact: Provision of ultra-high-definition imaging that made possible the reconstitution of this fragile heritage masterpiece.
- Long-term commitment: Missions carried out for the Ministry of Culture and the Ardèche General Council, deployed over more than 20 years.
International Exhibitions & Global Events
- Mission: Technological foundation & engineering of exclusive HD visual data.
- Scope: Production of visual engineering, colorization of 3D HD data and original photographs constituting the fundamental base of global immersive devices (Lascaux international exhibition, VR Dassault Systèmes, Shanghai World Expo, Lyon Festival of Lights...).
